Cash seized after bandits slain in MP
Panna, MP, Dec 31 (UNI) Two reward-carrying dacoits were killed in an encounter in the wee hours today near this district's Jhinna, 35 km from here while they were around a campfire, and more than Rs 2 lakh, a rifle, 58 cartridges and other weapons seized, police said.
The bandits were identified as Mohan Patel and Rameshwar Patel who carried rewards of Rs 25,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. The cash was found in a bag on Mohan's shoulder. Both dacoits were close accomplices of the Ambika Prasad Patel alias Thokiya gang.
Some of the slain bandits' accomplices fled.
