Badal greets people on New Year eve

Chandigarh, Dec 31 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today wished a happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year-2008 to Punjabis living all over the world.

In a message, the Chief Minister said, ''the time had now come for the state to make a decisive leap into the era of development and all round progress.'' "Punjab belongs to all of us. So does the SAD-BJP government.

Let us all move together to take Punjab into a brave new world", he said.

The Chief Minister also extended his greetings to all countrymen for a ''happy and prosperous new year''.
