Adampur shivered at -3 degrees Celsius

Jalandhar, Dec 31 (UNI) Adampur shivered under a severe cold wave as the airbase, near here, recorded the lowest temperature at minus 3 degrees celsius.

Adampur recorded sub-zero temperature for the last four days.

The holy city of Amritsar was cold at zero degree, while the minimum plunged to minus 0.6 degree at Halwara airbase, near Ludhiana.

The border town of Pathankot recorded a low of 2.6 degrees and Bathinda 3.2 degrees celsius.

The minimum temperature further dropped to 4.4 degrees Celsius in Chandigarh, while in adjoining Haryana, the temperature hovered around 2 degrees Celsius at Ambala.

The minimum temperature in Srinagar and Avantipura plummeted to minus 7.2 and minus 8.8 degrees Celsius respectively. Jammu recorded the minimum at 3.8 degrees Celsius and Udhampur minus 2.5 degrees Ccelsius.

The weather office forcast a clear sky with fog and mist in the morning tomorrow.
