UPASI President Kariappa passed away

Bangalore, Dec 30 (UNI) C P Kariappa, President, The United Planters Association of Southern India (UPASI), died of a massive heart attack last night.

He was 60. He was survived by his wife and two daughters.

Kariappa had also served as the Karnataka Planters Association Chairman and was the UPASI Vice - President. He was elected as UPASI President in September 2007.

The Funeral was held at his Kambihalli Estate in Chikmagalur.
