Two Maoist killed, a jawan injured in encounter

Hazaribagh, Dec 30 (UNI) Two CPI (Maoist) rebels were killed and a Special Task Force (STF) jawan was injured in an encounter at Hendegir area under Keredari police station in this district of Jharkhand last night, police today said.

Suprintendent of Police Praveen Kumar Singh said the injured jawan, Tipan Ravidas, was sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi from where he was shifted to Apollo hospital.

The ultras took away the bodies of their associates, Mr Singh added.

Police after the encounter recovered three rifles and some documents from the spot.
