Sonepat Jail official sent in police custody

Sonepat, Dec 30 (UNI) The Deputy Suprintendent of Jail, Ram Kishan Khatak who was arrested along with Assistant Suprintendent of Jails, Ramphalh and Head warden, Duli Chand yesterday in a case of 10 missing prisoners, was remanded in a day's police custody by the court today.

Meanwhile, Ramphal and Duli Chand were remanded in judicial custody.

They were arrested by the police after a team of senior jail department officers from Chandigarh led by IG Prisons, M S Maan conducted a surprise raid in the district jail premises on Friday late night and found 10 convicted persons absent from their barracks.
