'Prakash to join Congress next week': KPCC Chief

Bellary, Dec 30 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge today said that JD-S rebel leader and former Home Minister M P Prakash will join Congress party next week.

Talking to reporters here, he said that Mr Prakash had shown interest in joining the party and the discussions were on with national leaders of Congress like Shivaraj Patil and Oscar Fernandes in this regard.

"Party is open to anybody, who is willing follow principles and ideology of Congress, to join it and their role in the party would be decided depending on their background," he added.
