Police seize brown sugar worth Rs 20 lakh

Balasore, Dec 30 (UNI) Balasore police today seized brown sugar worth about Rs 20 lakh from the possession of one Mir Rahat alias Munna(27) at Jaleswar area.

Police, acting on a tip off, conducted a raid and seized the contraband and a motor cycle.

Preliminary report said the accused was supplying the contraband from Kharagpur.

Balasore District Superintendent of Police Yaswant Jethua was on the spot as further search was in progress.
