Police recovered body

Barrackpore, Dec 30 (UNI) Police today recovered the body of a youth from a Viveknagar field under Noapara police station in North 24 Parganas district.

The youth aged about 25 years, identified as Vijay Rajbhar, who was missing since last night.

Local people alleged the youth was murdered by miscreants, who were involved in illicit liquor at Garulia area, for raising protest against the activities recently.

No one was arrested so far in this connection.

Police, however, said the investigation was on.
