Over 1,700 people join AIADMK

Chennai, Dec 30 (UNI) As many as 1,787 people, including 450 women, today quit their respective parties and joined the AIADMK in the presence of party supremo J Jayalalithaa.

An AIADMK release here said Ms Jayalalithaa admitted them as primary members of the party.

The workers, hailing from various districts, hitherto belonged to the ruling DMK, Congress, PMK, Left parties, DMDK and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi.
