Kohima Dec 30 (UNI) The members of Nagaland Progressive Alliance (NPA), an ally of Congress, JD(U), Independents and defected members of Nagaland Peoples' Front (NPF), have been pressurising the Central leaders to impose President's Rule in the state.

In a release here today, Opposition leader I Imkong said the NPA members have submitted a document to the Union Ministers and Central leaders, including senior Congress functionaries in the national capital, citing reasons on the 'poor governance' of ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN).

The document highlighted clause (b) of Article 371 A, which provides special powers to the governor exclusively for Nagaland to impose President's or Army rule.

It said ceasefire agreements between the Centre and three underground outfits have freed over 4000 militants with sophisticated weapons.

It further said underground outfits have decided to support like minded leaders, whichever party they may be, to form a coalition government in the state.
