Husband sentenced for abetting wife to commit suicide

Akola, Maharashtra, Dec 30 (UNI) Prakash Ramji Dhoke has been sentenced to a four year jail term and fine of Rs 3000 for abetting his wife Padmini to commit suicide on August 4, 2006 at village Pangri in adjoining Washim District.

The deceased Padmini has been frequently subjected to physical and mental torture for dowry by her in-laws and husband which led her to take the extreme step.
