Haj pilgrim dies onboard AI flight

Kochi, Dec 30 (UNI) An elderly woman Haj pilgrim died onboard an Air India chartered flight, returning to Nedumbassery International Aiport near here from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, last evening.

Airport sources said today that Aleema Sainuddin (76), hailing from Kodungallur in Thrissur district, could not be saved though a doctor attended on her, after she developed uneasiness onboard.

The flight with 300 pilgrims touched down at the airport at 2010 hrs.
