Fearing police man jumps into river; case registered

Shahjahanpur, Dec 30 (UNI) A man was killed after he jumped into a river fearing the police, who raided his residence in Parore area here today.

The incident took place at Mohanpur village, where constables Raghuvir Singh and Harish Kumar raided the house of Chote Singh.

Chote Singh, involved in country liquor buisness, allegedly jumped into the Ramganga river, when he saw police approaching his house, police said.

According to sources, family of the deceased had lodged an FIR against the police.
