Case against agitating teachers for assault on cop
Moga, Dec 30 (UNI) Police here have registered a criminal case against about a dozen agitating school teachers on charges of assault and obstructing a police head constable from performing his duty.
According to police, this morning, the head constable Sukhdev Singh, who was on offical duty, was making a video recording of the ''dharna'' by agitating teachers who had locked road traffic while protesting against holding of seminars during the winter holidays.
The head constable lodged complaint alleging that the teachers not only manhandled him but also attempted to snatch his camera.
The head constable also alleged that he was insulted by the teachers.
No arrest were yet made.
Representatives of agitating teachers, when contacted, denied the allegations.
