Punjab: Adampur records coldest day of season

Adampur
airbase,
near
here,
today
witnessed
the
coldest
day
of
the
season
in
Punjab
as
the
mercury
dipped
to
minus
2
degrees
Celsius.
According to the Defence spokesperson, Adampur shivered under a severe cold wave as for last three days it recorded sub-zero temperature.
In the holy city of Amritsar, the mercury plummeted to minus 1 degree Celsius.
The Halwara airbase, near Ludhiana, was cold at 1.4 degrees C, while the minimum temperature in Pathankot was recorded at 5.2 degrees and in Bathinda the mercury dipped to 3.8 degrees C.
The Union Territory of Chandigarh was cold at 6.2 degrees Celsius, while Ambala in Haryana, minimum temperature was 2.8 degrees C.
The minimum temperature in Srinagar plummeted to minus 8.9 degrees Celsius, in Jammu it was low at 4.4 degrees and in Udhampur it plunged to minus 1.8 degrees C.
The weather office predicted tomorrow a clear sky with fog and mist in the morning and haze in the evening.
