Developments in Pak causing concern: Narayanan

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 29: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination and the latest developments in that country was a matter of serious concern and has proved India's stand that both the countries were facing common threat of terrorism, National Security Advisor M K Narayanan said here today. Talking to newspersons here after accepting the Sree Chithira Thirunal Award, Mr Narayanan said the recent terrorists attack and developments in Pakistan had proved Dr Singh's observation that both India and Pakistan were facing a common threat of terrorism. We were always worried about the security situation in Pakistan, Mr Narayanan said and added this was criticised at one time.

On the assassination of Benazir, he said for India and the world at large ''a person hoping to restore democracy in Pakistan is no more''.
