Eight members of family dead in Uttar Pradesh

Haridwar, Dec 28: Eight members of a family, including two women and four children, died when their car fell into the Ganga canal near Libberhedi, under Manglaur police station of the district, police said today.

The accident occurred yesterday afternoon, when the driver of the vehicle lost control.

Shobhit, resident of Shivalik Nagar here, along with seven other members of his family, was returning to Hardwar from his bride house in Gaziabad, sources said.

Six bodies have been fished out from the canal by late last evening and sent for post-mortem to the district civil hospital, SP (Dehat), Vimala Gunjiyal told UNI
