BJP's win keeps UPA Govt more dependent on Left support

Kolkata, Dec 28 (UNI) Terming the Himachal Pradesh Assembly election results as ''great victory'', West Bengal's unit BJP general secretary Rahul Sinha today said it will have positive effect on Balagarh assembly bye-poll and subsequent Panchayat elections in the state.

Addressing a news conference, Mr Sinha said after winning the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP's winning spree would continue and could be witnessed in the coming Karnataka assembly election.

Taking a dig at the Centre, he said the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance(UPA) government would be dependent more on the support from the CPI(M)-led Left Front when the NDA allies go on winning in the states.

Referring to a query, he said a BJP team would visit Darjeeling in second week of January to discuss with the people about the demand of the sixth scheduled status for the hills and submit its assess report to the central leadership.
