Waiting in a phone queue: most boring activity
London, Dec 27 (UNI) Has waiting in a telephone queue for an operator to answer bored you to death? You are not alone, as it has been named the most boring facet of modern life.
In a survey of 5,000 people, conducted for www.alljoinon.com, a new social networking site for those bored at home, one in five put the activity top of their list of 50 Biggest Bores.
The second in the list was the full classified football results on TV and radio.
Traffic jams, queuing and reality TV programmes were also in the Top Ten, the Daily Mail reported.
Waiting for computer files to download, buses, home deliveries, ovens to heat up and kettles to boil were also enlisted.
Other sports events to feature in the top 50 included Test cricket, the fishing report, golf and horse racing.
