India welcomes Christmas with hope and gaiety

Goa/ New Delhi/ Kolkata/ Gulmarg, Dec 25, 2007 : Special midnight mass, carol singing and enthusiasm marked Christmas celebration across India on December 25th with participation of people from all communities. In India's tourist hotspot Goa, churches were elaborately lit as large number of people thronged churches to attend the midnight mass.

In New Delhi, people welcomed Christmas with carols and special prayers at the Sacred Heart Cathedral to take part in the midnight masses.
