Trial proceedings in Salman's hit-and-run case adjourned
Mumbai, Dec 27 (UNI) A local court today adjourned the trial proceedings in the hit-and-run case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan till January 17 next year.
The Metropolitan Magistrate at Bandra court adjourned the proceedings following absence of public prosecutor for the examination-in-chief of investigating officer, Kesarkar. Now, the investigating officer will be examined on January 17.
Khan had allegedly rammed his vehicle into a bakery on September 28, 2002 at Pali Hill road, Bandra, killing one person and four others injured.
Initially, Salman was booked under section 304 (a) of the Indian Penal Code for negligent driving. But, later, the prosecution had moved the court for an alteration of the charges. The charges were, subsequently, modified and the trial of the case commenced in Metropolitan Court at Bandra.
UNI
