Bank employee arrested while accepting bribe
Sangrur, Dec 27 (UNI) The Punjab Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a bank employee while accepting a bribe from a resident of Chajwali village for sanctioning a loan.
According to Vigilance sources, Surinder Singh, an employee of the State Bank of Patiala in Chajwali village had demanded a bribe of Rs 5000 from a resident of the village for sanctioning an unemployment loan of Rs 50,000.
The bank employee has been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
