Tongue severed at MP shrine
Katni, MP, Dec 26 (UNI) A 45-year-old woman employed at the municipal corporation used a blade to partially sever her tongue and offer it to a goddess idol this morning at a temple near the clocktower here, police said.
Other devotees alerted police about Leelabai Malik's act. Police reached the spot and rushed the woman to hospital where she was discharged after first aid.
It was said that Leelabai's extreme step was prompted by the fulfillment of a wish. No police case was registered.
