Nanavati-Shah Commission seeks extension of term
Ahmedabad, Dec 26 (UNI) The Nanavati-Shah Commission, investigating the 2002 Gujarat riots, has written to the state Government to extend its term by another six months.
The present term of the Commission expires on December 31.
''We have already written to the state Government seeking a six-month extension but, so far we have not received any extension order,'' the Commission sources said today.
If the Government gives an extension, then it will be the eighth extension for the Commission since its appointment in March 2002.
