Man killed by son over property dispute

Sonepat, Dec 26 (UNI) A man was allegedly killed by his son in Gumar village in the district over a property dispute last night, police today said.

Suresh (45) was stabbed to death by his elder son Inderjeet (23) in their house last night over a dispute about distribution of property, according to the second wife of the deceased, police said.

A case of murder has been registered against the accused son, who was absconding.

According to Babli, Suresh had married her after Inderjeet's mother Darshna died when he was just an infant. Later, Suresh married her and they had two children. They all used to reside in a house constructed in the fields.

In the complaint, Babli has alleged that Suresh and Inderjeet slept in the same room, but this morning she found her husband murdered while her stepson was absconding. She immediately informed the Gram Panchayat and police.

The DSP Ganaur reached the spot and sent the body to civil hospital for post-mortem.
