Fishermen Assns stage demo to press demands

Puducherry, Dec 26 (UNI) The Joint Action Committee of Fishermen associations in the Union Territory today staged a demonstration in front of the Legislative Assembly here to press their demands.

They were demanding, among other things, erection of a permanent memorial for tsunami victims on the beach here and speeding up the construction work of houses for those affected in the calamity.
