Congress expels 45 leaders and activists in HP

Shimla, Dec 26 (UNI) The Congress today expelled 45 leaders and activists from the primary membership of the party for six years with immediate effect.

Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Viplove Thakur said of the 45 expelled 14 were from Kullu district, three from Kangra district, six from Hamirpur district, 18 from Shimla district and four from Mandi district.

The action has been taken against them after receiving different reports from observers, block presidents, official candidates and other state leaders, she said in a release here.
