CM releases biography of Bhagwan Gopinath

New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit released the biography of Bhagwan Gopinath, a famous Kashmiri saint, here yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister assured a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits, who called on her at her residence, that she would look into their demand for setting up a 'Social Welfare Centre' in the name of Bhagwan Gopinath.

The Kashmiri saint, (1898-1968) who was social reformer, is reported to have performed several miracles and played a crucial role in saving Jammu and Kashmir during wars against Pakistan in 1947 and 1965 and against China in 1962.

The biography--Bhagwan Gopinath ji ek vilakshan sant--Jiwan aur Sandesh--has been written in Hindi by P N Dhar and Dilip Koul and published by Bhagwan Gopinath Charitable Cultural and Research Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr P N Kaul, President of the Foundation, narrated several miracles performed by Bhagwan Gopinath in his lifetime and even after his death.
