Cheerful weather greets Kolkata and adjoining areas

Kolkata, Dec 26 (UNI) With the Yuletide season still going strong in Kolkata, the city was today greeted with cheerful weather laced with slight morning fog quite in tune with the lingering festive mood.

The Alipore Met officials recorded the minimum temperature at 14.8 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while the maximum temperature was pegged at 25.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.

Similarly, North Bengal University Recording Station recorded a minimum of 9.8 degrees and a maximum of 25 degrees Celsius.

The maximum relative humidity was pegged at 98 per cent throughout the state.
