BSP to provide reservation for upper castes: Mayawati

Dehri-on-Sone, Dec 26 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP supremo Mayawati today said that her party would provide reservation to the underprivileged among the upper castes.

Addressing a rally in favour of party candidate Balram Mishra for Bihar's Vikramganj Lok Sabha poll, the BSP leader said her party was working on the issue based programmes and planned to make provisions for reservation of poor among the upper castes.

She said that the BSP was not anti-upper caste and added her government would do everything for eradication of poverty among the poor people.

''By nominating an upper caste candidate for Vikramganj by-election BSP has made it clear that it is not against the upper castes indeed'', she stated.
