Bihar limping back on track of development and prosperity: Nitish

Dehri-on-sone, Dec 26 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the efforts of his government to bring back the state on the path of development had begun to yield results.

Addressing a public meeting here during campaigning for by-election to Bikramganj Lok Sabha seat, Mr Kumar said that economy of the state was shattered during the 15-year regime of Lalu-Rabri in Bihar and efforts of the NDA government during the last two years, was now yielding results.

''Several top industrial houses including Tatas and Reliance had showed interest for investments in the state as law and order situation had improved during the NDA's regime,'' Mr Kumar claimed adding several high profile criminals had been convicted by the fast track court during the last two years.

Referring to the initiative of his government to improve the power situation in the state, he said that multilateral agreement between Bihar State Electricity Board, NTPC and the Power Grid Corporation of India had been signed to rejuvenate the sick power stations in the state.
