Chandigarh, Dec 26 (UNI) Three SAD Legislators today took exception to the comments of controversial Pakistani scribe Ms Aroosa Alam that Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was ''not known in her country''.

''Mr Badal was quite satisfied to be popular in his own country and state,'' the three legislators, Mr Virsa Singh Valtoha, Mr Sohan Singh Thandal and Mr Des Raj Dhugga said in a joint statement here.

''It is quite an another matter that Mr Badal's acceptability among the Punjabis all over the world, including in Pakistan, is recognised by everyone who knows anything about people and politics,'' the Akali legislators said.

Ms Alam at a press conference earlier in the day had claimed that former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh was well known in Pakistan for his efforts in improving people-to-people contact between India and Pakistan as compared to Mr Badal.

The SAD legislators asked the Pak scribe to clarify her relations with Capt Singh.
