3 militant sympathisers arrested in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 26 (UNI) Security forces have arrested three over ground workers (OGWs) of militants from Kishtwar and Doda districts in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said today.

Troops of Rashtriya Rifles apprehended two OGWs, identified as Abdul Rehman, 60, and Mohd Yusuf, 55, from village Manogot, about 22 km from Thathri, Bunjwa in Kishtwar district yesterday, the sources added.

The duo used to provide cooked food to the self-styled 'District Commander' of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit, Shamim Tul, they said.

Security forces, after a brief interrogation of the OGWs, launched a search operation to nab Tul in the area.

Another OGW, Ghulam Nabi Malik, 32, of Bharat, Doda, who was running a grocery shop, was arrested on a tip-off by the Intelligence Bureau.

Thirty seven gelatin sticks (each 125 gm, marked super power 90), an Airtel SIM card and two Nokia cellphone batteries were recovered from his pocession, sources added.
