3 arrested kidnappers killed while trying to flee

Warangal, Dec 26: Three people, who were arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of an 11-year-old girl, were allegedly killed in police firing near Tatikayalagudem in Dharmasagar mandal of this district in Andhra Pradesh today.

Police said T Raju, Naresh and Ashok were killed by the police team when they tried to escape while proceeding towards the village where the body of the kidnapped girl Manisha was found in a well.

The abductors, after kidnapping the girl from the school on December ten, demanded a ransom of Rs 25 lakh from the girl's father Sadanandam.

Apprehending arrest, the kidnappers took the girl to Lingala village in Ghanpur mandal and killed her on December 13. However, they were nabbed by the police a few days ago, police added.
