Women hold demo against TASMAC liquor shop

Kancheepuram, Dec 25 (UNI) Around 300 people, including 250 women, today staged a demonstration outside the TASMAC liquor shop on the Muthialpet Main Road here seeking its closure by January one next.

Sources said the demonstrators, especially women, complained of harassment and nuisance from drunken revellers and sought the closure of the shop which was located in a predominantly residential area.
