Ten-member gang arrested for robbery
Coimbatore, Dec 25(UNI) Police arrested a ten-member gang, hailing from Bihar in a lodge near the Railway Station here last night.
Police said an anonymous caller informed them last evening that the gang led by alleged naxal, Lalbabu Prasad, was hiding in the lodge.
The investigation revealed that a 50-member gang from Bihar arrived here, split into five to six-groups and fanned out to different parts of Tamil Nadu. They would stay for a few days in a particular place, indulge in robbery and escape with booty. A gang-member would then be sent to Bihar with stolen property.
Efforts were on to trace their link with other anti-social elements and naxals, police added.
