Smack worth Rs 40 lakh seized, 1 held

Banda, Dec 25 (UNI) UP police'S Special Operation Group (SOG), in a joint operation with city police, today busted a smuggling syndicate and arrested a person possessing four kg smack, estimated at Rs four lakh in the international market.

Acting on a tip-off, cops cordoned off the Aambagh locality and swooped upon a smuggler identified as Ram Babu.

On being frisked, four kgs of psychotropic substance was recovered from his possession, police said.

Meanwhile, he was being interrogated.
