Search for arms continues in TN village seashore

Ramanathapuram, Dec 25 (UNI) The massive search operation on the seashore here to unearth arms continued for the second day today.

Talking to UNI, Uchipuli Police Station Inspector C Somarajan, who heads the search operation team of over 50 policemen, said the team was digging the sand with crowbars to find more buried arms.

He said the four carbines recovered from the shore were in rusted condition which were found buried at Pirapanvalasai seashore here yesterday.

The guns were spotted by the local fishermen.

Police said the carbines were widely used by the LTTE cadres.
