Precious metals close higher on festival demand

Mumbai, Dec 25 (UNI) Both the precious metals closed firm today, with Silver gaining by Rs 70 per kg and Gold by Rs 20 per ten gm from their last close on good christmas festival demand by ornament-makers along with some firm advice from Asian countries, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Following are the closing rates of spot Silver and Gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 19,115 (19,045) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 10,390 (10,370) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 10,440 (10,420).
