Haryana to spend Rs 209 crore to improve power supply in Rewari

Chandigarh, Dec 25 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and Haryana Vidyut Parsaran Nigam (HVPN) have planned to strengthen the transmission and distribution system in Rewari district at a cost of Rs 209 crore.

A spokesman of DHBVN today said that under this ambitious plan, the Nigam would construct six new sub stations for various levels and augment capacity of six existing sub stations.

The new sub stations include a 132 KV sub station at Dahina to be constructed by the HVPN. DHBVN would construct five sub stations of 33 KV level at Gurawar, Kaluwas, Sec-10 Rewari, Bahrampur and Ahrod.

While the capacity of 220 KV sub station Rewari, 132 KV sub stations Pali Gothra and Kosli, 33 KV sub stations Khol, JC-IV and Model Town Rewari would be augmented. The second circuit of 220 KV Badhsahur-Rewari line of 51 KM is under construction at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore.

He said that to strength power distribution system in the district, DHBVN plans to rehabilitate various overloaded and lengthier feeders by dividing each feeder into two or three feeders of proper load and length.

To ensure regular and uninterrupted power supply during fixed hours to the agriculture sector and the domestic sector in rural area of the district, domestic and agriculture load of 74 feeders of 11 KV level would be segregated.

DHBVN plans to set up 195 new distribution transformers in the district and augment capacity of 112 existing transformers of defferent levels, the spokesman said.

The spokesman said that all the villages in Rewari district would be provided high voltage distribution system (HVDS) or low voltage distribution system(LVDS) so as to provide uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.

LVDS would be provided villages having upto three hundred connections while the HVDS would be constructed in the villages having more than 300 consumers.
