CM assures scholarship to all Backward Class students

Kadapa, Dec 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the government would provide scholarships to all the eligible Backward Class students.

Inaugrating a library building at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University at Pulivendula nere here, he said the government aimed at providing an opportunity to Backward Class students to pursue professional courses.

He directed the university Vice-Chancellor to provide scholarships to all eligible students within a week.

Dr Reddy also directed him to organise industrial tours and provide internet facility for the students.

On a complaint from the students, Dr Reddy barred the transfer of some of the university professors.
