TN Govt mulls heritage status for Vellore
Vellore, Tamil Nadu, Dec 24 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government is considering declaring Vellore a heritage town, a Senior Minister has said.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a government exhibition here last night, State Information Minister Parithi Ilamvazhuthi said the government will allocate sufficient funds for its development after the declaration.
The State Government had earned Rs 20 crore from holding such exhibitions, he said.
The Minister also informed the audience the state had improved the infrastructure facilities for starting new business ventures.
The DMK Government led by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had also fufilled 75 per cent of the election promises.
