Silver, Gold down on thin ornament makers demand

Mumbai, Dec 24 (UNI) Prices of precious metals ended lower today, with Silver declining by Rs 40 per kg and Gold by Rs 20 per ten gm on poor demand by ornament-makers despite bullish advices from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Following are the closing rates of spot Silver and Gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 19,045 (19,085) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 10,370 (10,390) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 10,420 (10,440).
