Rich tributes paid to 'Periyar' in Pondy

Puducherry, Dec 24: Rich tributes were paid to rationalist leader and Dravidar Kazhagam founder Periyar E V Ramaswami on his 34th death anniversary here today.

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy garlanded the statue of Periyar at Pillaithottam here on behalf of the government. Leaders of the DMK, AIADMK, MDMK, DK, Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam, were among others, who garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.
