Lady Rockers taking stage in Assam

Guwahati, Dec 24, 2007 : Young women in India's northeastern Guwahati are taking to the stage in city's pubs and lounge bars proving their mettle as rock band musicians. Guwahati has pubs and bars galore where rock and metal fans can dance to the tunes of legendary singers.

Music is one of the few binding factors in the trouble torn northeast and these lady rockers vouch for peace and music to keep the social fabric close-knit.
