Incarcerated RJD MP Md Shahabuddin granted bail

Siwan, Dec 24 (UNI) A local court today granted bail to Incarcerated RJD MP Md Shahabuddin in connection with manhandling of inmates of Siwan divisional jail.

Additional District and Sessions Judge I Gyaneshwar Srivastava granted bail to the controversial MP, lodged in the Siwan divisional jail.

As per the case registered at Muffasil police station under section 307 of IPC, Md Shahabuddin had dragged the prisoners namely Vikas Kumar, Sanjay Kushwaha, Lahwar Manjhi and others from ward number two to his own ward number 18 on March 20, 2007.

Following complaint filed by Vikas Kumar and others Md Shahabuddin and 12 others were named accused in the case.

Of the total 50 criminal cases lodged against Md Shahabuddin, the MP had been convicted in four cases and awarded imprisonment ranging from two years to life, while he had been acquitted in three other cases.
