Former minister's daughter lodges complaint against husband

Barwani, MP, Dec 24 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh Minister Shobharam Patel's daughter had lodged a complaint against her husband alleging that he had beaten her up, police said today.

In her complaint, Ms Sadhana said she was beaten up by her husband Pawan Choubey and two tenants Piyush and Raju on December 22 over the matter of vacating the Nand colony residence.

On the basis of the report, a case was registered against her husband under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.

However, Mr Choubey denied the charges saying he had not met his wife for many days. Ms Sadhna, who had a love marriage with Mr Choubey, had previously lodged a complaint against her husband.

She had filed for divorce and was staying with her son at her Nand colony residence for the past few days.
