Former Minister's daughter lodges complaint against husband

Barwani (MP), Dec 24: A complaint has been lodged by the daughter of former Madhya Pradesh Minister Shobharam Patel about being beaten up her husband, police said today.

In her complaint, Ms Sadhana has alleged that she was beaten up by her husband Pawan Choubey and two tenants Piyush and Raju on December 22 over getting her Nand colony residence vacated.

On the basis of the report, a case was registered against the accused under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Protection Of Women From Domestic Violence Act.

Mr Choubey denied the charges saying that he had not met his wife since many days. Ms Sadhna, who had a love marriage with Mr Choubey, had previously lodged a complaint against her husband.

She had applied for divorce and was staying with her son at her Nand colony residence since the past few days.
