Electronic weighing machines for ration shops

Puducherry, Dec 24 (UNI) The Puducherry administration will provide electronic weighing machines to all ration shops in the Union Territory, Chief Minister N Rangasamy said today.

Inaugurating the National Consumer Day celebrations here, Mr Rangasamy said a committee had been constituted under the Welfare Minister to go into the implementation of a special component plan meant for the development of Adi-Dravidar people.

The administration would consider the demand for enhancing funds under the Legislators Area Development Funds, he added.
